Overview
  • Hourly Pay: £26 - £28 per hour
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Job Type: Temporary
  • Hours: 20 hours per week

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate Chef Lecturer to join a leading college in Birmingham. This temporary role is an excellent chance to impart your culinary skills and knowledge to aspiring chefs at levels 1-3.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of methods, including demonstrations, lectures, and practical sessions.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress effectively using both formative and summative assessments.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the college rules and disciplinary systems.
  • Participate in departmental and college meetings, parent meetings, and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
  • Stay updated with current industry practices and culinary techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Professional culinary qualification or equivalent.
  • A Teaching Qualification or previous teaching experience
  • Proven experience as a chef with a strong background in the culinary arts.
  • Previous teaching experience in a culinary setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
