Job description

Mingary Castle is looking for a Chef to join their fine dining team over the festive period.

This is a seasonal contract running from 10 December 2025 to 1 January 2026, based at one of the most striking and remote coastal locations on the Ardnamurchan peninsula.

You will work within a high end kitchen, preparing dishes to a fine dining standard and supporting the team during one of the busiest periods of the year.

The role suits someone who enjoys quality cooking, calm service, and the challenge of working in a unique and remote setting.

You will prepare and cook dishes to the standard expected of a fine dining restaurant.

You will support the kitchen team with service and prep throughout the contract.

You will maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

You will contribute positively to the smooth running of the kitchen during the festive season.

What you need

Previous kitchen experience, ideally in a high end setting.

A steady, reliable approach during busy services.

Comfort working in a remote location.

A positive and professional attitude.

What you get

£15 per hour, with double pay on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Minimum 40 hours per week.

Accommodation included close to the castle.

Travel expenses paid on completion of the contract.
