Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef/Sous Chef in kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and cook menu items as directed.
  • Contribute to menu development and planning.
  • Support with stock taking when required.
  • Assist with evening events and overtime duties.

  • Assist the Head Chef/Sous Chef in kitchen operations to maintain the company’s reputation for food quality.
  • Prepare and cook menu items for retail and hospitality as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Contribute to menu development and planning, incorporating future food trends and new service concepts.
  • Support the manager with stock taking when required.
  • Assist with evening events and overtime duties as needed.
  • Ensure the smooth, efficient running of your section.
