Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting an ambitious Chef for Chartwells in Brighton on a full-time contract of 40 hours per week. The role involves preparing high-quality food, leading kitchen operations, and contributing to menu development within a market-leading food service group.

You will work in a busy kitchen, support with new menus, and ensure food safety standards while delivering outstanding customer service. Competitive pay and learning opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent required.
• Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Experience supervising a team in a similar chef role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Satefty regulations.
