Chef de Partie – Esher, Surrey

We’re a specialist catering company dedicated to providing delicious, healthy and exciting food for Independent Schools. We know the crucial role that food can play on a pupil’s ability to learn, develop and ultimately flourish. Food isn’t simply fuel, it’s critical to creating happy, healthy and inquisitive young minds. Lexington is committed to safeguarding children and colleagues. Candidates shortlisted for this role will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including the Children’s Barred List.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect of COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations, and any incidents are reported.
  • Support the manager in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.
  • Maintain up-to-date product and menu knowledge, and maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness of all areas in the kitchen and of equipment.
  • Support, organise, mentor and train members of the kitchen team in line with company procedures.
