Chef de Partie – Temporary

Location: Dartford
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

We're looking for a passionate, hands‑on Chef de Partie to join our team in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef who thrives in a fast‑paced kitchen and enjoys creating high‑quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook and present breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard.
  • Support the Chef Manager with menu and recipe development.
  • Lead the kitchen and supervise junior staff in the Chef Manager's absence.
  • Serve customers, take orders and operate the till.
  • Maintain clean and hygienic food preparation and service areas in line with HACCP requirements.
  • Assist with stock ordering, replenishment and waste control.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, liaise with contractors and carry out routine checks.
  • Support general kitchen duties, including washing tableware and equipment.
About You
  • Experience in cooking, baking and contributing to menu development within a similar kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of Basic Food Hygiene principles and current catering regulations.
  • Able to work independently, adapt to change and perform well under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to health & safety and delivering excellent customer service.
Qualifications
  • Basic Food Hygiene Level 2 (essential).
  • NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality or Catering (desirable).
