Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and cooking food in their assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry
  • Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
  • Managing their section of the kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen assistants
  • Ensuring that their section of the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained
  • Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
  • Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy
  • Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen
  • Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 2 year’s experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks
  • A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
