The role involves supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in providing a high-quality culinary service that contributes to residents' wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, contributing to the overall wellbeing of the residents. This includes preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, implementing cost-effective stock control systems, and collaborating with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu. You will also participate in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions and address dietary requirements or special needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents.

  • Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
  • Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
  • Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.

  • Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
