About the Role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Chef de Partie to join a busy daytime café kitchen. You will be responsible for running a section of the kitchen, supporting the preparation of fresh, high-quality dishes, and ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.

  • Support the Head Chef / Café Manager with menu preparation and daily service delivery.

  • Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety requirements.

  • Keep your section organised, clean, and fully stocked during service.

  • Assist with stock control, deliveries, and minimising food waste.

  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver a friendly, efficient, customer-focused service.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up.

  • Knowledge of daytime café menus, including breakfast, brunch, light bites, and baked goods.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Passion for fresh, seasonal food with excellent attention to detail.

  • Flexibility to work part-time daytime shifts, including weekends.

  • Food hygiene certification preferred, but not essential.
