Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a talented Chef De Partie to join our Barrow-in-Furness culinary team. You will oversee food production and service in one outlet, ensuring high standards of preparation and presentation under the guidance of the head and sous chefs.

Responsibilities include managing your station, maintaining quality and safety, and supporting menu development while mentoring junior staff. We value inclusivity, development, and teamwork across our multi-site operation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef De Partie, or in a similar culinary role.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Up-to-date food hygiene certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
  • Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to continuous learning.
