Exciting time to join our Catering Team for the NHS at Broadgreen Hospital. We are looking for a qualified chef to support patient feeding and restaurant meals.

Responsibilities

The post holder will support the provision of a high quality catering service across any area within LUFT, including patient feeding, staff dining, trust retail outlets and hospitality. Duties include:

  • Preparing and serving meals to patients and other service areas.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the preparation area during and after service.
  • Ensuring food quality meets catering department standards and HACCP policy compliance.
  • Minimising food waste.
  • Preparing special and therapeutic diets, including vegetarian and vegan requirements.
  • Checking food temperature and recording on HACCP sheets; taking corrective action if food fails.
  • Observing good hygiene practices and staying current with food hygiene and training legislation.
  • Maintaining documentation for HACCP policy and rectifying any fails.
  • Responding to special diet requests at short notice.
