Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a qualified chef for a casual, part-time Bank Chef role across its homes. You will work with fresh seasonal ingredients to deliver nutritious, flavoursome dishes in a welcoming environment.

You will support the Head Chef, tailor menus to residents, and help maintain high standards with healthy, balanced meals while adhering to budget and safety practices. This role offers flexibility and balance.

Qualifications

• Must hold City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience leading and inspiring a team.
• Strong understanding of nutrition and HACCP.
• Experience working with fresh seasonal food.
• Personable and warm approach focused on resident wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality dishes.
• Create a warm, efficient and fun environment.

Job description

Are you a qualified chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to have more of a work life balance and make what you do matter?

This is a casual, part-time role offering flexible working. Working as a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well balanced menus whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them. NEED TO HAVE
