HMP Altcourse is seeking a Chef to supervise and coach prisoners in producing over 1,200 meals daily, three times a day. You will ensure top standards of food safety, hygiene and allergen awareness while overseeing cleaning, stock rotation and health & safety compliance.
City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ Level 1 and 2 in food production and cooking are required, with industrial catering experience; experience instructing staff with challenging behaviour is a plus.
As a Chef at HMP Altcourse, you'll play a crucial role in supervising and coaching prisoners in the production of 1200 plus meals 3 times a day.
You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, allergen awareness. Your commitment to overseeing cleaning procedures, stock rotation, and adherence to Health & Safety procedures will not only impact the daily operations of the kitchen but will also foster a positive and secure environment.
