Are you a passionate Chef looking for a rewarding role where your cooking can make a real difference?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Chef to join our friendly catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your culinary skills to create fresh, nutritious and appetising meals that our residents will enjoy, while working in an environment where quality, care and individual choice are at the heart of everything we do.

With previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, your duties will include preparing, cooking and presenting appetising, balanced and varied nutritious meals, whilst ensuring the kitchen is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene and remains a safe environment at all times.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to develop and deliver seasonal menus that provide variety and choice and are accessible to all residents, taking into consideration individual dietary requirements, preferences and nutritional needs.

You will also:
  • Supervise and mentor junior chefs and Kitchen Assistants, supporting them to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Support with stock control, ordering and receiving deliveries.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Prepare meals for residents requiring modified textures and special diets.

Previous care home or healthcare catering experience would be an advantage, as would knowledge of IDDSI and modified-texture diets. However, we are also keen to hear from experienced chefs looking to bring their skills into a rewarding care environment.

Most importantly, you will take pride in your cooking, be passionate about providing high-quality food and understand the important role that mealtimes play in our residents' wellbeing and quality of life.
