Job summary

Klondyke & Strikes Garden Centres in Wales seeks a Chef to support kitchen operations, prepare fresh ingredients, and maintain high hygiene standards. You will work in a small team under the Head Chef/Restaurant Manager, handling 32 hours per week across four days, with weekend shifts required but no evening or split shifts.

Job description

As a Chef, you will support all areas of food production and cleaning in the kitchen. You will work at part of a small team under the guidance of your Head Chef/Restuarant Manager and be responsible for the preparation of our fresh ingredients for our full menu range. What you will be doing as a Chef?

• Prepare fresh ingredients
• Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
• Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
• Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
  Passion for good quality fresh produce and food
• Understanding of food hygiene requirements

  Our competitive rate for the role is £13.27 per hour.
• The hours for this role are 32 per week over 4 days. All positions include weekend working so flexibility is a must. However we have the added benefit of no evening work and no split shifts. Our Centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day which means time with the family on these important days.
