Job summary

Kitchen - Urban Playground Manchester is seeking a Part Time Chef to join the Kitchen team. You will prepare and cook dishes, from main courses to sliders and sharing platters, in our open kitchen. You will work 2-3 days per week with flexible evenings and weekends.

Maintain high standards, monitor stock to reduce wastage, and interact with customers to deliver an amazing service. You will help set up, stock sauces, prep ingredients and assist in closing the kitchen.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Kitchen/Cooking experience.
• High volume kitchen operation experience.
• Experience working in large teams as well as independently.
• Excellent verbal and written English is required for this role.

Role Description

Working in the Kitchen team, you are responsible for the delivery of a high-class food service. You will work as part of our open kitchen, supporting THE BUTCHER to serve food to customers throughout their CUBE or Putters journey.

Flexible working, 2 - 3 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes, from main courses to sliders and sharing platters.

• Monitor and rotate stock to reduce wastage.
• Maintain a clean and presentable service area at all times.
• Interact with customers and remain presentable at all times.

• Helping to close the kitchen, deep cleaning the area and putting away all tools.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all training is completed in a timely manner.
• Proactively contribute to and suggest ways of improving company processes and procedures.
• Assisting in the onboarding of newer members of the team.
