Cabrini Health in Melbourne's southeast seeks a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team and deliver high-quality meals to patients and residents.

You will work with the Head Chef, prepare meals, handle dietary requirements, ensure food safety, and provide compassionate service in line with Cabrini’s values.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or similar role.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and dietary requirements.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team and help deliver high-quality meals and exceptional food service to our patients and residents.

Working alongside the Head Chef and wider team, you will assist with food preparation, cooking, special dietary meals and food and beverage service, helping create a positive and compassionate dining experience in line with Cabrini’s Mission, Values and Vision.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook quality meals, including special dietary meals and function catering.
• Deliver friendly, compassionate food and beverage service, including room service and dining room service.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, HACCP compliance and kitchen cleanliness.
• Manage food storage and stock rotation to ensure quality and minimise waste.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare teams to support excellent patient and resident care.
• Contribute to workplace safety, quality improvement and efficient kitchen operations.
