Job summary

Impact Food Group is hiring a Chef at Huddersfield New College to support the onsite Chef Manager in delivering nutritious meals for students and staff. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am-3.30pm, 35 hours per week during 38 weeks per year, with a salary of £21,932.40 per annum.

You will assist with meal preparation, cook using fresh ingredients for high-volume service, and help with some counter service and till work, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

• Experience as a chef, ideally within a school or contract catering environment.
• Passion for cooking with fresh ingredients and delivering quality food.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

What will I be doing?

• Cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients for high-volume service (200+ covers)
• Supporting with occasional counter service and till work
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and dining environment at all times

What are we looking for?
