Job summary

Sodexo at RAF Odiham RG29 1QT is seeking a professional chef to join our catering team in a MOD environment, preparing high-quality meals for military personnel and supporting functions.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, with shifts from 10:00 to 20:00, in a fast-paced kitchen focused on food safety and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Professional chef experience in catering or hospitality.
• Recognised culinary qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2; NVQ Level 2/3).
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health regulations.
• Experience in military or government catering.
• IOSH qualification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, cooking and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene per EHO guidelines.
• Work with front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service.
• Cook and serve meals to military personnel, delivering high standards daily.
• Oversee kitchen sanitation and best practices.
• Participate in bulk cooking for events and functions.
