Job description

Chef role

Prepare, cook and present an exceptionally high standard of food in line with standards, follow recipes and presentation specifications.

• Share ideas and suggestions with the Head Chef.
• Supervise, train and encourage more junior members of the team.
• Work as part of a team to ensure a safe yet effective food operation, in compliance with set out health & safety and food hygiene standards.
• Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment.
• Work with colleagues to complete relevant kitchen paperwork records including temperature checks, delivery checks, cooking records, cleaning checklists and allergen records.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift.

Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment.
• Food hygiene certification is preferred, good knowledge of food hygiene standards.
• Flexible, professional and friendly manner.
• Good organisation and efficiency skills.

Hours

Full‑time covering breakfast, lunch and dinners. Includes evenings and weekends on a rota basis. A mix of straight and split shifts.

Job Type

Permanent. Live in accommodation while on shift may be available on application.
