Qualifications

  • Recent experience working within catering.
  • Must hold a DBS on the Update Service (CWForce).
  • Ability to plan and prepare teaching resources and conduct safety inspections.

This role involves delivering high-quality meals and providing mentorship to learners in a real work environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have a passion for culinary excellence, and support our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Day‑to‑day of the Role
  • Support learners in the kitchen, providing guidance and mentorship while ensuring compliance with health and safety and food safety regulations.
  • Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals.
  • Manage food orders efficiently in collaboration with the Head Technician to ensure timely procurement.
  • Maintain documentation related to safe working practices to the highest standard.
  • Actively participate in the planning and execution of theme evenings and open events, contributing to an inclusive and creative menu.
  • Incorporate sustainable produce into menu planning to align with environmental responsibilities.
  • Ensure all kitchen activities align with clear business objectives, driving consistent quality and operational excellence.
