Job summary

A growing hospitality group in Bournemouth is looking for a kitchen team member to prepare high-quality dishes and contribute to customer satisfaction. The role involves working under the Head Chef in a supportive team, ensuring all food is made to spec and maintaining a clean kitchen. Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential. The position offers paid breaks, discounts, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

  • Some kitchen experience as a Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Assistant, or Commis Chef is preferred.
  • Driven and positive attitude.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Self-motivated to work at pace with limited supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of allergens, kitchen essentials, and food safety.

Responsibilities

  • Make each dish to spec in a clean and safe kitchen.
  • Follow the Head Chef's lead for prep and par completion.
  • Help ensure every customer leaves happy with great food.

What you'll bring:
  • You may already have some kitchen experience as either a Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant/Commis Chef, or this might be something brand new to you.
  • Driven and relentless, with a positive can do attitude.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Self-motivated to work at pace, with limited supervision
  • Strong knowledge of best practice when it comes to all things Allergens, kitchen essentials and Food Safety.
