Job summary

Willis Aviation Services Limited in Teesside is seeking a Check Supervisor to support the Check Manager in delivering aircraft maintenance safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

You will monitor budgets, coordinate with customers and contractors, ensure Part-145 compliance and MOE requirements, and maintain records using Tracking+. This role offers opportunities for leadership development and continual improvement within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance/continuing airworthiness.
  • Strong knowledge of Part-145 regulations and MOE requirements.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance standards and safe practices.
  • Experience using Tracking+ or similar maintenance system.
  • Experience with at least one aircraft, engine or product type is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Check Manager in delivering aircraft maintenance per plans.
  • Be the first point of contact for customers on additional work and obtain approvals.
  • Monitor budgets, identify overruns and support cost control.
  • Maintain project status using Tracking+ or similar system.
  • Prepare daily status reports and attend meetings.
  • Represent the Check Manager in meetings as required.
  • Review completed maintenance documentation and resolve issues with the Document Controller.
  • Coordinate manpower with Check Managers, Zonal Leaders and the Resources Controller.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors to ensure timely work and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Part-145, MOE, and company procedures.
  • Support recruitment, performance reviews and continuous improvement.

Check Supervisor

We're looking for an experienced Check Supervisor to join our growing team at Teesside. This is a key role supporting the Check Manager to ensure aircraft maintenance inputs are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

What you'll be doing
  • Support the Check Manager in delivering aircraft maintenance in line with agreed maintenance plans.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers regarding additional (over-and-above) work, ensuring approvals are obtained before work begins.
  • Monitor maintenance budgets, identify potential overruns, and support cost control activities.
  • Maintain accurate project status using Tracking+ (or equivalent maintenance system).
  • Prepare daily status reports and attend customer, production, and shift handover meetings.
  • Represent the Check Manager in meetings when required.
  • Review completed maintenance documentation and work with the Document Controller to resolve any issues.
  • Coordinate manpower requirements with Check Managers, Zonal Leaders and the Resources Controller.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors to ensure work is completed on time and all documentation is received.
  • Ensure compliance with Part-145, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and company procedures.
  • Support recruitment activities, performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within an aircraft maintenance or continuing airworthiness environment.
  • Strong understanding of Part-145 regulations and Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) requirements.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance standards and safe maintenance practices.
  • Experience using Tracking+ or a similar maintenance tracking system.
  • Knowledge of at least one aircraft, engine or product type is desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to aircraft maintenance, including applicable type training or equivalent experience.
  • Initial Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) and Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) training.
  • Good written and spoken English.
