Job summary

Conrad Consulting is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer in Leicester to join a thriving, Leicester-based practice. You will work across a broad spectrum of projects—from surveys and building design to site investigations, drainage, seismic/blast analysis, Party Wall duties, and listed buildings—on values up to £12 million.

The role requires design experience in steel, masonry, timber, and RC, and the ability to communicate directly with clients, producing high-quality reports in compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' post-chartered experience.
• Experience across steel, masonry, timber and reinforced concrete design.
• Strong knowledge of BS EN codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis across a broad project spectrum.
• Provide high-quality reports and client-facing advice.
• Work with a hands-on approach with autonomy on projects up to £12 million.

A thriving, Leicester-based structural engineering practice is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer (IStructE or ICE) with a minimum of 5 years' post-chartered experience to join their expanding team.

This is a rare chance to step into a broad, technically varied role with real autonomy and client exposure. The successful candidate will work across a wide spectrum of projects—from structural surveys and building design to site investigations, drainage, seismic/blast analysis, Party Wall duties, and listed buildings—with values ranging up to £12 million.

With a hands‑on approach and strong communication skills, the ideal candidate will be confident offering advice directly to clients, producing high‑quality reports, and working to current BS EN codes. Design experience in steel, masonry, timber, and RC is expected, and all work is completed electronically.
