We provide support to Clients throughout the project life cycle, from the planning and feasibility stages through to commissioning, operation, refurbishment and upgrade of tunnel infrastructure. We are a close-knit specialist team, and we love what we do. We work hard to ensure an inclusive and mutually respectful environment which fosters collaboration and innovation. Our open mindset unlocks creativity and helps us to deliver better outcomes both for our clients and the users of the infrastructure we design. We love challenges, and routinely explore new ways of delivering value. Why work for AtkinsRéalis? We're ranked as one of LinkedIn's Top 25 Companies, where UK professionals want to work and stay once, they join. We've also made the Times Top 50 employers for women. Our Infrastructure team uses innovation, new approaches and the power of data to help our clients deliver end-to-end projects and programmes for essential future infrastructure. And as the work becomes ever more complex, our employees continue to challenge the status quo. We're committed to engineering better for people and our planet, from our global Engineering Net-Zero programme to creating social value through EDAROTH community housing. We’re proud of our active employee networks creating awareness and allyship for our under-represented groups. Not to mention programmes supporting communities outside AtkinsRéalis, including schools, charities, ex‑forces and professionals returning after career breaks.

  • Candidates should have the right flare and ability that will help us develop and expand our tunnelling capability. We want to build on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.
  • We are looking for enthusiastic chartered/senior engineers with a proven technical and project management track record.

  • Application of CDM Regulations. Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self‑check and produce accurate work. A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas.

We’re passionate about what we do, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Simply put, this a great place to be. So, when it comes to your life outside of work, ask us about our flexible and remote working policies designed to help you get the most out of life. Tunnels and underground structures form an increasingly critical part of modern‑day infrastructure. This infrastructure provides economic, societal and environmental benefits through the facilitation of efficient and rapid movement of people below‑ground. This may be in mass transit systems, high‑speed rail lines or in highway tunnels. We are expanding our team to meet growing demands from our extensive Client base, particularly in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Current areas of demand include nuclear new build, carbon capture & storage, renewable energy (hydropower), and other low carbon engineering. At AtkinsRéalis, we seek to hire individuals with diverse characteristics, backgrounds and perspectives. We strongly believe that world‑class talent makes no distinctions based on gender, ethnic or national origin, sexual identity and orientation, age, religion or disability, but enriches itself through these differences.
