Job summary

FindCore is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor for a Manchester-based role with hybrid working. You will deliver professional and project-based surveying services to a multidisciplinary client base, lead technical reporting and due diligence, and manage refurbishment and reinstatement projects.

The position requires strong knowledge of construction technology, building pathology, and reporting, with CDL contract administration responsibilities and compliance with CDM regulations.

Qualifications

• Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
• Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad range of professional and project-based building surveying services.
• Undertake PPM surveys, condition surveys, technical due diligence and building pathology investigations.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work, technical reports and Reinstatement Cost Assessments.
• Manage maintenance, repair, refurbishment and insurance reinstatement projects.
• Act as Contract Administrator under JCT and SBCC forms of contract.
• Prepare Schedules of Condition and Dilapidations.
• Provide clear technical advice and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.

About the Role

• Experience managing refurbishment projects and administering JCT or SBCC contracts.
• Strong technical reporting, organisation and client-management skills.
• Good understanding of CDM Regulations and relevant health and safety legislation.
• Competence using Microsoft Office and CAD software.
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to manage multiple instructions.
• Full UK driving licence.
