Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and control costs to ensure sales and profit targets are achieved.
  • Ensure cash handling, banking and till procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintain high standards of merchandising and display.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote best practices.
  • Implement seasonal layout and window displays to maximise sales.
  • Encourage donations and prepare stock to ensure shop is stocked.
  • Price stock to return maximum income for the shop.
  • Support Shop Manager in recruitment, training, and development of volunteers.
  • Manage and delegate tasks to volunteers and provide feedback.
  • Promote donor sign-ups for Gift Aid and ensure data accuracy.
  • Process Gift Aid items correctly and review weekly reports.

Skills

Numerate with the ability to calculate figures
Relevant retail sales experience in the fashion/clothing trade
Experience of working in charity retail
Experience of managing, motivating and training staff and volunteers
Knowledge of selling and merchandising
Experience of dealing with customers and providing excellent customer care
