Job summary

Barnardo's in Worle is seeking a Store Associate to join the Worle Branch team. You will support the Store Manager, other associates and volunteers to run a busy shop and help raise funds for vulnerable children.

This permanent, part-time role is 21 hours with responsibilities including excellent customer service, stock organisation, and promoting gift aid. Barnardo's offers generous benefits and development opportunities in a supportive charity environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment is desirable.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Knowledge of fashion retail environment.
• Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service and welcoming shoppers.
• Visual merchandising and maintaining store presentation.
• Organising stock, pricing and steaming items before floor display.
• Manage stock generation and encourage donor Gift Aid.
• Implement promotions as directed by head office or store manager.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Encourage public donations and rotate stock daily.
