Job summary

Trial Balance is partnering with a respected charity in Exeter to appoint a Finance Manager (Charity) on a full-time basis. Circa £40k salary.

As the sole finance on site you will manage ledgers, accruals, VAT, payroll, and monthly management accounts, while preparing statutory accounts and supporting the CEO and trustees with strategic analysis. Qualified accountants or strong QBE candidates with charity experience are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with charity sector knowledge.
• Experience in financial and management reporting.
• Familiar with payroll and VAT returns.
• Ability to liaise with CEO and trustees.
• Full-time availability and on-site parking.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and sales ledger maintenance.
• Accruals and prepayments.
• VAT return submissions.
• Preparing payroll.
• Management accounts preparation.
• Preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Attending board meetings and offering strategic business analysis.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Working with external accountants for the annual audit.
