Job summary

A local charity organization in Ormskirk is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead initiatives that support individuals affected by domestic abuse. Qualifications

Overview

We’re looking for a new CEO to lead a respected local charity supporting adults and children affected by domestic abuse.

Within this role you’ll be building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships & represent the voices of those who need it most!

Responsibilities
  • Lead the organisation and work with the Board on strategic delivery
  • Maintain positive Board relationships, clear delegated authority, support strong governance
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships and represent the voices of people affected by domestic abuse
  • Ensure induction and training for staff, volunteers, and Board members
  • Uphold the charity’s values, mission, and policies
  • Lead recruitment and ensure good employment practices
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a CEO (preferably within domestic abuse, or has worked with families, children, trauma, youthwork, children’s service, local authority)
  • Understanding of charity law, governance, finance, and performance management
  • Knowledge of statutory and voluntary sectors
  • Experience managing and supervising staff and volunteers
  • Self‑motivated, creative, and inspiring with an approachable, personal attitude
  • Experience in fundraising and managing budgets
