NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Senior Charge Nurse for Ward 55, an Acute Care of the Elderly ward at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. You will lead a busy 30-bed ward and deputise for the SCN as required.
You will be responsible for clinical guidance, staff development and delivering high-quality patient care, aligned with CAS Standards. The role requires NMC registration, extensive post-registration experience and strong leadership capabilities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Ward 55, an Acute Care of the Elderly ward within the Older People and Stroke Service, for a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Senior Charge Nurse.
Ward 55 is a busy and dynamic 30-bed inpatient ward focused on providing person-centred care to acutely unwell older adults. You will be responsible to the Senior Charge Nurse for clinical guidance and professional management and will deputise for the SCN as required.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Daily, you will be responsible for leading your team and promoting and providing high-quality patient care. You will ensure appropriate learning opportunities are available for all staff, encouraging best practice and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care in line with the CAS Standards Framework.
You will demonstrate excellent leadership, confident communication and effective organisational skills, while contributing to education, audit and service development. You will also support the implementation and evaluation of standards of good nursing care and deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse as required.
