Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran invites applications for a Charge Nurse District Nursing post based at Kilbirnie Medical Practice in Garnock Valley. The role is 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a weekend commitment, and is a permanent post.

You will oversee caseload management in the absence of the Clinical Team Leader, supervise and redeploy staff, and maintain a focus on safe, compassionate care. A UK driving licence is essential to travel between sites.

Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Charge Nurse District Nursing within our Garnock Valley District Nursing area based at Kilbirnie Medical Practice.

Hours And Shift Pattern

36 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a weekend commitment. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

UK Driving Licence

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What You Will Do

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for the management of the caseload in the absence of the Clinical Team Leader including the supervision and redeployment of staff. You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post

Essential, RGN educated to degree level.

You should have a District Nurse post graduate or equivalent SPQ qualification or be willing to undertake relevant post graduate district nursing education.
