Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading private healthcare provider.

We are hiring a Sister - Charge Nurse to join the Nursing department on a full-time, 37.5-hour contract.

The role requires hands-on clinical leadership, overseeing staffing, patient flow, and high standards of care, with responsibilities across admissions, coordination, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in acute care.
• Experience leading and supervising a clinical team.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Commitment to high patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on clinical care and act as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
• Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
• Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NMC standards.
• Act as a liaison for patients, families, consultants and the MDT.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and patient flow within the department.
