Job summary

Narrative Entertainment, the UK's largest independent TV broadcaster, seeks a Programming Lead to own scheduling end-to-end, manage a team, and drive commercial performance across linear, FAST and VOD. You will translate strategy into competitive, audience-winning schedules while balancing spend and return.

You will lead monthly portfolio planning, coordinate programme sharing and promotions, and ensure editorial excellence. Strong finance acumen and knowledge of UK broadcasting are essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong editorial judgement and scheduling expertise.
  • Experience managing channel services, preferably in free-to-air TV.
  • Knowledge of UK content landscape and rights market.
  • Proficiency with BARB and TechEdge to build ratings-driven schedules.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills with financial acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Own planning and execution of quarterly and monthly schedules and promo-tables.
  • Evaluate and select programming with editorial judgement to hit KPIs.
  • Analyze ratings and trends and turn insights into scheduling decisions.
  • Partner with teams across the organisation and manage delivery with agencies and broadcast services.
  • Oversee inventory and planning documents with rolling 12-month and annual plans.
