Industry – Technology for a Healthier Planet

My client, is a farm intelligence company who arm farmers with unstoppable intelligence to shape a healthier planet, are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their Leadership team.

They are redefining how farms operate by turning data into confident, profitable, and sustainable decisions. Their platform connects the dots—from soil to system—helping farmers see what’s working, fix what’s not, and plan for what’s next. In a world flooded with information, BX transforms complexity into clarity, empowering farms to grow stronger every season.

They don’t just build software; they build farm intelligence ecosystems that help producers, partners, and investors make data-driven decisions that create measurable outcomes for profitability, resilience, and the planet.

This company is now recognized as a global leader in sustainable agtech, working with forward-thinking partners including Walmart, Heineken, Microsoft, and Costco. With their AI-driven platform, SAM (Strategic Ag Manager), the company is transforming farming from reactive to predictive—empowering growers to become architects of the world’s next food and climate systems.

The Opportunity

They are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the leadership team at a pivotal moment in their journey — as they prepare for Series A funding (£15M) and accelerate growth across technology, operations, and sustainability partnerships.

This is more than a numbers role — it’s an opportunity to shape a company that’s redefining how food systems, technology, and climate action intersect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investor Relations: Alongside the CEO, build investor engagement and develop trusted relationships with VCs, impact funds, and sustainability‑driven investors.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee forecasting, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure clarity and accountability across the business.
  • Governance & Compliance: Implement scalable financial systems and controls, ensuring BX is investment‑ready for Series A, B, and beyond.
  • Team & Culture: Build a high‑performing, values‑aligned finance function that thrives in a mission‑led, fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the CEO and cross‑functional leaders in Tech, Product, and Sustainability to align finance with strategic goals.
About You

You’re a finance leader who thrives at the intersection of growth, purpose, and innovation. You have experience navigating early‑stage to Series A/B funding and understand how to align investor expectations with long‑term mission impact.

You’ll bring:
  • Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader in a SaaS, Tech, or ClimateTech environment.
  • Track record of raising investment and managing relationships with VCs or private equity.
  • Deep understanding of scaling financial operations in high‑growth, purpose‑led organisations.
  • Global financial understanding to operate a group structure that is based in the UK, but has subsidiaries across the world.
  • A collaborative, transparent leadership style with a passion for sustainability and impact.
  • Strategic thinking balanced with hands‑on execution and strong analytical capability.
