Job description

Mark Sattin Executive Search is working with an investor led, multisite Healthcare businesswith a strong position in its market. The business is continuing to develop its operational, financial and commercial strategy and is seeking a CFO to partner with the CEO and senior leadership team.

The CFO will play a key role in shaping and executing the strategy for the business, supporting sustainable growth and operational development, while providing leadership across the finance function. The role will have a broad remit spanning financial management, performance, investment, acquisitions and commercial decision-making, including supporting the development of the Group’s commissioning, pricing and growth strategy.

Operating across multiple sites and entities, the CFO will lead the consolidation of financial information and reporting, bringing greater consistency and clarity to the way performance is measured across the organisation. The role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and working capital, while working closely with operational leadership to understand performance, challenge assumptions, and identify areas for improvement.

The role will require a hands-on approach, with the CFO prepared to get into the detail where required while maintaining a broad view of the business. Working closely with the CEO and wider leadership team, the CFO will help identify areas of latent value, support operational improvement, and ensure financial insight is translated into meaningful action. In addition, the CFO will play an important role in the wider commercial agenda, helping to evaluate and commercialise opportunities across the business. This will include providing financial and commercial insight into strategic initiatives, supporting growth decisions, and ensuring opportunities are assessed with a clear understanding of their financial and operational implications.

The ideal candidate will:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA).
• Have operated autonomously as a Chief Financial Officer or Finance Director within a regulated healthcare, services, consumer, or similarly operationally focused environment.
• Demonstrate a strong track record across financial reporting, consolidation, controls, forecasting, and management information within a multisite organisation.
• Have led the development and improvement of finance functions, including systems, processes, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards.
• Bring a strong commercial mindset, with the ability to understand the wider business, identify opportunities, and translate financial insight into commercial and operational action.
• Be a hands‑on and credible leader, prepared to get their hands dirty when required, while acting as a trusted partner to the CEO, senior leadership team, and wider business.
