Qualifications

  • Experience as a CFO or Finance Director in fast-growth SMEs, preferably in marketing/digital sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the finance project lead and trusted adviser for all commercial and operational due diligence.
  • Work closely with leadership to prepare robust, investor-grade financial information.
  • Produce newco consolidated accounts, integrating all merged/acquired entities.
  • Manage all financial modelling, scenario planning, and support post-deal integration strategies.
  • Provide clear, timely reports and board-level insights to stakeholders.

Skills

Direct experience of supporting businesses through private equity investment and due diligence cycles
Expertise in producing and presenting consolidated accounts for newcos or group structures
Strong understanding of debt and leverage, including negotiating, modelling, and managing financial covenants with lenders and PE sponsors
Confident in managing external stakeholders (PE, banks, auditors)
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent financial qualification

Overview

CMA Executive is thrilled to be retained by this leading digital marketing agency, with a strong growth trajectory, as we seek an experienced Interim CFO to lead and support the financial function during a pivotal period of private equity investment and due diligence.

What will the CFO role involve?

As Interim CFO, you will be at the heart of our strategic decision-making, collaborating with our CEO, senior leadership, and external advisers to ensure a seamless and robust PE transaction. You will own the finance workstream, driving both day-to-day financial management and high-level strategic initiatives critical to a successful deal and future integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the finance project lead and trusted adviser for all commercial and operational due diligence relating to impending PE investment
  • Work closely with leadership and external advisers to prepare robust, investor-grade financial information
  • Produce newco consolidated accounts, integrating all merged/acquired entities in line with PE expectations
  • Manage all financial modelling, scenario planning, and support the development of post-deal integration strategies
  • Provide clear, timely reports and board-level insights to stakeholders and the incoming investment team
Skills and Experience

Suitable Candidate for the CFO Finance Director vacancy:
We welcome candidates with experience as a CFO or Finance Director, particularly those from dynamic, fast-growth SMEs and preferably including marketing/digital/agency sectors
