Job summary

Crawford in London seeks a skilled professional to assess business interruption and financial claims for clients within the CFAS division. You will review financial data, negotiate settlements, and coordinate with insurers, reinsurers, claimants and insured parties.

Travel to sites and external meetings is required; you will support development of junior staff and help grow client relationships while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims or insurance is useful.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Able to work under own direction as well as in a team.
• Customer focused and able to build client relationships.
• Dispute and resolution handling skills to manage cases.

Responsibilities

• Assess business interruption and financial claims for clients.
• Review and analyse financial information and prepare reports.
• Visit insurers, reinsurers, claimants and insured; communicate with all involved parties.
• Calculate interim payments and prepare interim reports; assist in settlement of claims.
• Develop relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities with new clients.
• Travel to sites and attend external meetings; promote self and business internally and externally.

• Part of the CFAS division
• Involved in the assessment of business interruption and other financial losses arising on behalf of clients.
• Negotiating and settlement of claims.
• Work within and part of the wider GTS team.
• Travel and undertake site visits and external meetings
• Marketing and promotion of self and business both internally and externally

Responsibilities

• Work both externally and internally assessing business interruption and financial claims
• Receiving and reviewing and analysing financial information.
• Preparing reports commenting in detail on the review and conclusion of analytical work.
• Visiting Insurers, Reinsurers, Claimants and the Insured.
• Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving interim payments, preparing interim reports and other communication.
• Calculating and agreeing settlement of claims, and preparing final reports.
• Assisting in the development of less experienced staff members.
• Additionally developing working relationships with existing clients and helping to identify and plan approaches to new clients.
• Maintain and update files and records keeping fully up to date on any technical or legal changes which may have a bearing on a case.
• Identifying and developing business opportunities for self and team.
