Job summary

Hampshire County Council is recruiting Ceremonies Registration Officers to join the Hampshire Registration Service. Based at Winchester and Alton, you will register marriages, civil partnerships and other ceremonies, delivering professional, memorable ceremonies with full training provided.

You will travel between venues across Hampshire, with Fridays and Saturdays busiest, and flexibility to cover operational needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between venues within Hampshire.
• Flexible with Fridays and Saturdays.
• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Willingness to undertake training and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and register marriages, civil partnerships, citizenship and other non-statutory ceremonies.
• Provide excellent customer service to couples and guests.
• Travel to Registration Offices and ceremony venues across Hampshire.
• Be available to work Fridays and Saturdays during busy wedding season May–Sept.
• Maintain professional standards and ensure ceremonies meet legal requirements.
• Represent Hampshire Registration Service positively at all times.
