Job description

Our well known client, a Leigh based manufacturer of promotional merchandise, are currently looking for a hardworking and reliable person to join their busy warehouse team as a Ceramics Printing Assistant.

Working as the Ceramics Printing Assistant you will be working closely alongside the Manager of the team to ensure the smooth running of the department at all times. This is a fast paced role working to tight deadlines for multiple printing jobs on a daily basis. You will be responsible for planning the workload of all team members ensuring the highest levels of efficiency within the team, covering the printing, wrapping, packing and despatch process.

Ideal Candidate
  • Proficient using Illustrator and applying colour theory to adjust the artwork accordingly
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work well in a fast paced environment and under pressure
  • Works well with the wider print room team
  • Can easily multitask
  • Good problem solver and happy to make a decision when needed
  • Strong and adaptive communication skills to comfortably work alongside all levels of the business

Previous experience of working with a plotter and ceramics sublimation production would be desirable but not essential. Training can be provided.

Pay rate: £12.97 to be reviewed after 3 months, or depending on experience.

Work Days and Hours

Monday to Friday 08:30 am - 04:30 pm

Main Duties
  • Setting artwork up for print, using Illustrator.
  • Applying colour theory where needed (adjusting the colour to achieve the optimum finish).
  • Previous knowledge of using a plotter is preferable but not essential.
  • Running the entire printing and process from beginning to end.
  • Quality checking print whilst a job is in progress to meet our high standards.
  • Stripping papers for wrapping.
  • Wrapping mugs in papers and using the mug clamps to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Willing to jump in where needed to ensure the jobs go out on time.

Please note you need to be flexible on finish times due to jobs needing to be completed daily.

Please also note there are strong chemical smells due to the printing process.
