Centre Supervisor – Poulton YMCA

24.0 hours per week minimum

£12.73 per annum

We are requiring a pro‑active, customer‑focused Centre Supervisor to assist with promoting our Centre and to improve our customer’s experience and will need exceptional face‑to‑face communication skills. You should be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team with customer service skills that can deliver exceptional results. This is an exciting opportunity for you to help provide an inspirational journey that supports and develops individuals in and across the Fylde Coast.

Main duties will include:
  • Undertaking client consultations and identifying appropriate physical activity opportunities
  • Maintain a high profile shop floor presence and a high level of interaction with staff and customers.
  • Lifeguard and pool water testing duties (training will be provided to the right candidate)
  • To assist on Reception as required and/or carry out duties of other members of staff as necessary, e.g., cover for breaks, holiday, sickness etc.
  • To ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, and Fylde Coast YMCA’s Health and Safety procedures.
  • To be always responsible for security of the building and its contents.
  • To identify and report maintenance requirements for equipment or premises, liaise with the appropriate contractors or staff member and initiate repairs where necessary.
  • To ensure the prompt preparation of all activity areas including the safe setting up, dismantling and storage of the equipment.
