Job summary

Halliburton in Dyce is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to rebuild cementing equipment. The role involves stripping, inspecting and assembling cement mixing and pumping gear, following Halliburton procedures and safety rules.

The successful candidate will support acceptance testing and assist with general workshop and yard organisation, with 1–2 years in mechanical fitting or assembly and a Technical School certificate. The position is based in the workshop in Dyce, Aberdeen.

Qualifications

  • Technical School certificate and 1–2 years mechanical fitting or assembly experience.
  • Experience with engines, hydraulic components, thread awareness and control equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret and complete checklists and follow structured processes.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Strip, inspect, and rebuild cement mixing and pumping equipment.
  • Follow Halliburton management systems, checklists, and safety procedures.
  • Assemble mechanical components, ensuring correct fitting, alignment, and adjustment.
  • Support acceptance testing and ensure equipment meets operational requirements.
  • Perform general workshop tasks, including cleaning parts and maintaining a tidy workspace.
  • Assist with yard and workshop organisation as required.
  • Work under general supervision to complete assigned tasks.
