Job summary

The CE&I Engineer role in Whitehaven/Seascale is a 12-month contract responsible for ensuring design deliverables are planned, coordinated and completed to standards. You will work with the project team, onsite electrical and construction teams, and sub-contractors while managing your own workload and mentoring apprentices.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and Amtech, have strong document writing skills, nuclear experience, and IT systems knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proficient user of AutoCAD.
• Proficient user of Amtech.
• Strong document writing skills.
• Experience in nuclear processes and procedures.
• Experienced in IT Systems.
• Nuclear site experience.
• Emergency lighting design experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and ensure timely completion of design deliverables to relevant standards.
• Interface with project team, other disciplines, onsite electrical/ construction teams and subcontractors.
• Manage own workload efficiently and support apprentices.
• Contribute to both independent and team work to deliver project objectives.

Location - Whitehaven/Seascale

Overview

The role will include ensuring that the design deliverables are effectively planned, coordinated and completed in line with the relevant standards. The individual will be required to deal with the project team and other disciplines daily as well as the onsite electrical, construction teams and sub-contractors. They will be required to efficiently manage their own workload, whilst helping with apprentices.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work alone and as part of the wider team.
