Overview

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF: I am a non-verbal autistic young adult living in the Cardiff Bay area. I experience delays with my speech and communication skills. I need a personal assistant to support me to access the local community and participate in activities. I enjoy going to the parks, trampolining, walking and riding my bike.

Purpose of Job

To support me to safely access the community.

Place of Work

In my home and the local community to help me access activities.

Hours of Work
  • 6 hours during term time
  • 9 hours during school holidays
Rate of Pay

£14.90

Tasks Involved
  • Accompany me to places of my choice.
  • Assist me with daily tasks.
  • Assist me with meals and snacks.
  • Make sure I am kept safe.
  • Encourage me to explore more interests.

  • Someone who is flexible and can adapt to meet my needs.

About the Job

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
