Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience using data analytics, modelling and visualisation tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx or Power BI.
  • Experience with advanced Excel functions.
  • Experience developing or improving financial reporting, dashboards and analytical processes.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, including identifying and resolving data-quality issues.
  • Working knowledge of the Financial Services industry and products.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to challenge, influence and build effective relationships across Finance and the wider business.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional financial analytic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop centralised automated datasets and models, to meet the needs of business and function analytics teams and senior management, globally across the firm.
  • Build an extensive knowledge of Marex’s business operations, covering analytical requirements, booking models, source systems and data flows, to work towards the systematic development of the required data sets.
  • Understand business processes and financial analytic requirements across teams and across businesses in the firm.
  • Enhance and develop existing datasets, prototype and iteratively develop new datasets and models, rapidly automating business requirements to comprehensively describe the firm on a timely basis and at a granular level.
  • Maintain an overall view of the target state data requirements, working with the enterprise data engineers, businesses, functions and analytics teams.
  • Respond to and develop advanced datasets to solve commercial challenges and support the deployment of AI.
  • Drive significant process improvements, sourcing and analysing data, reducing duplication and driving efficiency and scalability in the firm’s data processes.

Role Summary

Develop centralised automated datasets and models, to meet the needs of business and function analytics teams and senior management, globally across the firm. Build an extensive knowledge of Marex’s business operations, covering analytical requirements, booking models, source systems and data flows, to work towards the systematic development of the required data sets, to the standards of a listed environment. Rapdily automate specified business requirements, advancing existing datasets and prototyping additional datasets and models to comprehensively describe the firm. Respond to and develop advanced datasets to solve commercial challenges, generate efficiencies and support the deployment of AI. Partner with the enterprise data engineers, businesses, functions and analytics teams, working towards the target state solution for sourcing, reporting and modelling data for the firm.
