Job summary

A local council in Gainsborough seeks a CCTV Operator to monitor and record incidents using the CCTV camera network. Job description

Band 5 - £25,989 to £26,403 per annum • Full time 40hrs per week • Based in Gainsborough

Overview

The role of a CCTV Operator is an exciting position where you will play a key part in helping to keep our residents, communities and businesses safe. You will work in our CCTV Control Room, using CCTV cameras across the district to monitor incidents and work closely with other agencies, including the police.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record footage from our camera network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Use direct communication links to the police to prevent and detect incidents of crime, public disorder, anti-social behaviour, theft and more.
  • Work rotating shifts, including weekends, nights, and some bank holidays.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and great attention to detail.
  • Subject to enhanced police vetting and must hold an SIA CCTV Operators Licence (maintained as a condition of employment).
  • Subject to a Basic Disclosure Scotland check.
Work Schedule

Full time 40 hours per week. Rotating shifts including weekends, nights and some bank holidays.
