Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a CCTV Control Room Operator to join the National Operations Centre in Stoke-on-Trent on a 12-month fixed term contract. This full-time role is 42 hours per week with a salary of £29,455.58 per annum and benefits.

You will manage site alarm activations, perform CCTV verification and escalate as needed, and support the Facilities Management Helpdesk and incident reporting. GCSEs in Maths and English are required and IT proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Control Room, Service Desk or high-volume call environment.
• Maths and English GCSEs at grade C or above.
• Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel & Word).
• Experience in incident management / command & control operations.
• Security or service desk background and training in fire safety and first aid.
• CCTV & access control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage site alarm activations and CCTV verification, escalating as required.
• Respond to requests via Facilities Management Helpdesk and Incident Reporting Hotline.

Equans is looking for a CCTV Control Room Operator to join our team in National Operations Centre Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire ST4 1AY on a 12th month fixed term contract. This is a full time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £29,455.58 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

24/7 shift pattern - 4 days 0700-1900, 4 off, 4 nights 1900-0700, 4 off

What will you deliver?

Perform a key role in all aspects of the National Operations Centre, managing site alarm activations, including CCTV verification and to facilitate appropriate escalation. When required, respond appropriately to requests through the Facilities Management Helpdesk and QSE Incident Reporting Hotline.

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience within a Control Room, Service Desk or other high call volume environment or experience of working within a customer focused environment.
• Maths and English GCSE Grade C and above
• An excellent working knowledge of IT. Must have experience with the Microsoft Office 365 package including MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel & Word.
• Experience of contributing to incident management /command and control operations.
• Previous security or service desk experience and experience / training in fire safety and first aid.
• Previous CCTV & access control knowledge. An understanding of CCTV operations and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, including high standards of written and spoken English. Ability to maintain accurate incident logs and gather evidential information
• SIA licensed for Public Space Surveillance (PSS CCTV operations) or willingness to be trained to achieve SIA licence requirements
