The post-holder will work within Newham CAMHS WINS, providing assessments and interventions in and around local schools. The successful candidate must be a registered EMHP.

We are looking for confident CAMHS professionals who are keen to provide evidence‑based CBT interventions to children and young people within schools. Applicants should have a demonstrable track record of collaborative and supportive interventions with children, young people, families and parents/carers. The community served is multi‑ethnic and culturally diverse, and we welcome applicants skilled at working in such a setting.

We offer an exciting, dynamic environment in which your ideas and career development will be valued. You will be directly supported by senior colleagues as we develop the service together.

Main Duties
  • Delivery of CBT‑based interventions for low mood and anxiety in educational settings across the borough, in line with the MHST model and supporting service development.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with professionals, agencies, charities and teams that also serve children and young people in the community.
  • Actioning the three core functions of an MHST: delivering evidence‑based interventions for mild‑to‑moderate mental health issues, supporting senior mental health leads in each school or college to develop whole‑school or college approaches, and providing timely advice to staff and liaising with external specialist services to ensure the right support within education.
