Job summary

The Ministry of Justice invites applications for a non-rotational chaplaincy role focusing on faith/belief care for prisoners, staff and their families. You will contribute to policy delivery and work within a multifaith team, liaising with Faith and Belief Advisers and external groups.

You will engage with faith communities to aid offender resettlement, support spiritual health, and participate in Faith Awareness activities, with no line management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Provide guidance on faith/belief systems and pastoral care to prisoners, staff and families.
• Plan and lead worship/meditation, prayer and faith-based meetings.
• Deliver opportunities for worship, study and programmes with chaplains and volunteers.

Responsibilities
