Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Catering Assistant to support our mobile team in Reading, Berkshire. The role is term-time only with 16 hours per week (Mon-Fri) and requires you to have your own car for travel between sites. Mileage is paid; DBS check will be obtained.

Salary is £12.71 per hour, with delivery across schools during term time. The position offers flexibility with no weekend work and the chance to contribute to a well-regarded education catering provider.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid full driving licence and own/use a car with valid insurance, MOT and tax; mileage paid.
• You must be available between 9:30am and 2:00pm Monday to Friday during term time, including inset dates.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of tasty food and snacks.
• Complying with Caterlink Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and procedures.
• Keeping the kitchen, counter and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state.
• Providing a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Catering Assistant to join our mobile support team to provide cover in the area of Reading, Berkshireto support our existing site-based teams. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

This role will be a mobile-based role so you will therefore need to have your own transport.

The role:

• £12.71per hour
• 16hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 39weeks per year
• Must have access to a car Monday to Friday between 930am and 2pm
• Mileage paid (separate to salary payments)

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of tasty food and snacks

Qualifications

Must hold a valid FULL drivers licence, own or have use of a car with current insurance, MOT and Tax, mileage is paid from school within our contract that is nearest to your home and to the destination return journey
